Psalm 103:12 NKJV
As far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed our transgressions from us.
We have a great and wonderful God. He loves righteousness and hates sin. Because of the love He has for His children, He promotes them when they live in righteousness. However, He judges and punishes them for their sins. When King David committed adultery with Bathsheba and then murdered her husband, God judged him for the sin he had committed. God does forgive sin, but the consequences of the sin still need to be borne by the sinner. When He forgives, He does not remember it anymore, and this is what He wants His children to learn from Him.

Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank you for the reckless love. Thank you for being a marvelous father and forgiving one. You love us so much that you have forgiven us as far as the east is far from the west. Thank you for the work done on the cross that was indeed a real demonstration of love. Father may you always remind us by your spirit that we are free indeed.
