Hosea 4:6 NKJV

"[6] My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me; Because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children.’

1. What is knowledge ?

2. What’s the necessity of knowledge in a believer's life ?

3. Which  kind /body of knowledge is necessary in a believer's life ?

   
   

Qn.1] Knowledge is informatory in nature, it is having awareness / information about something, and this information must be able to be put to use /practicallised to achieve specific [definite] results. Having information that is not applicable to achieve results without supervision is useless. Matthew 18:18-19 ; we see Jesus giving a body of knowledge to His disciples ; by saying 

"Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.

 [19] "Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven.

In the above scriptures, the disciples became aware/ got two practical pieces of information [Truly i tell you, Again..]  that they never had which is KNOWLEDGE.

Qn.2]  According to Hosea 4:6, it says that even though they are God’s people they're still vulnerable to the devil who comes to steal, to kill and to destroy just because of lack of knowledge.

Qn.3] - Knowledge of Christ being the Son of God and that He is our Savior and Redeemer of humankind to receive Salvation.

- Knowledge of the substitutionary work of Christ on the Cross, His death, resurrection and ascension and that you were chosen in Him; this helps a believer to live a life of a “More than a conqueror” - Knowledge of God, and His Ways. - Knowledge /encounter with the Word of God. -knowledge/ encounter with the Holy Spirit and His work in a believer's life. 

- Knowledge / encounter with the body of Christ.

PRAYER

Father in the name of Jesus we thank you for your Word today, for your word is truth, Lord we open up our mind and we obtain the grace to buy the truth and sell it not, fill us with the hunger to seek and know you more that we may be set free from the destructions of this world for the word says that it is by the Knowledge of the truth that we will be set free. Thank you Lord, AMEN.
