In the heart of Mukono, a transformation is unfolding. Led by the visionary leadership of Davis Katongole and his dedicated team, CityGates Mukono has become far more than a place of worship, it is a lifeline for the surrounding community.
A Growing Family: Expanding the Walls

For those of you who joined us on the 2024 Mission Trip, and especially those who returned in 2025, you have been eye-witnesses to a miracle in motion. The Lord has been moving so powerfully in Mukono that the original church premises could no longer contain what He was doing.
Specifically, our Kids Ministry saw such an explosion in numbers that expansion became a necessity, not just a luxury. Thanks to your prayers and support, we have been able to expand the church premises to create a safe, vibrant space where the next generation can encounter the love of Jesus. To see the smiles of the children in their new space is to see the fruit of your generosity.
The Heart of the Community: Education and Outreach

CityGates Mukono’s mission extends directly into the lives of local families through its Community School. Education is the key to breaking the cycle of poverty, yet many families in Mukono still face the “sting” of lack. We currently have many students struggling with:
- Unpaid School Fees: Which threatens to halt their education.
- Scholastic Materials: The simple but vital need for pens, notebooks, and uniforms.
Despite these challenges, the school remains a place of hope, ensuring that the children of Mukono are not just growing in stature, but in wisdom and knowledge.
Voice to the Nations: The Community Radio
One of the most exciting breakthroughs this season has been the purchase of the Community Radio. This is not just a speaker; it is a pulpit that reaches into every home in the village.
Every morning and evening, the church leaders now use this radio to evangelise, sending the life-giving Word of God across the hills of Mukono. Beyond the Gospel, this speaker serves the community by passing along vital announcements, deeply rooting the church as a helpful and essential part of daily life.
A Note of Gratitude
To our missioners and our global partners: Thank you. Whether you stood on the red soil of Mukono with us in 2024 or 2025, or supported us from afar, you are part of this story. Your continued prayers are the engine behind Davis Katongole’s leadership, and your support is the reason we can say “Yes” to the growing number of children seeking a home in Christ.
The work in Mukono is a testimony that when a local team remains faithful, and a global team remains supportive, the Kingdom of God knows no bounds.
